A Different Girl
It's amazing how it takes
less than a year
to mutate, to transform
into something you never
imagined yourself being.
I've lost all true meaning.
I feel like my mind leaves me,
for weeks at a time,
but my heart keeps beating,
aimlessly waiting for sanity.
I search in solitude,
hoping I'll find what I was,
or what I'm meant to be,
because it's buried within me.
