erase your mistakes
is what
you were taught
no mistake is ever
too large
too strong
too hard
but your mistakes
will layer upon themselves
your regrets growing
into something far too
powerful to
contain
your mistakes are
you
where you've been
where you're going
how you'll get there
your desires
your memories
and a memory
cannot be erased
for when it has happened
it can never truly unhappen
