Helpless

I am lost
and need found
these shackles keep me
from leaving this ground
I want to move-
but I just can't seem to do it myself,
help me, i'm helpless,
I need your help.
Undo these shackles I put onto my being
so I can thank you,
wave you off,
and secure them back on these
feet,
and watch as time makes iron rust,
and cuts into tender feelings.
I want to leave,
I want to be free,
but I am helpless-
I need you to help me
help, please, I can't stop
from trapping myself.
