Underneath the smiles
all that’s there is pain
Underneath my skin
I am crawling, pleading
to be let out
Let out of this prison
filled with misery
filled with nothingness
The internal scars burn
my heart is sunken in
ready to collapse
My life, my emotions
a disastrous mess
Underneath my shield
I am nothing but a spark
A spark that will explode
And from that will come greatness
No one can shoot me down
Now I am something,
someone
soon I will be the one
who is underneath the surface

I saw some poems on here and they inspired me to write this. A lot of what I wrote is about what I feel. I hope you like it.
