Dream a Little Dream

Dreams don’t dim
and dreams don’t die
Dreams don’t hide
from you and I

We all have dreams,
some locked away
There are a few
I wish wouldn’t stay

‘Cause they are reminders
of what’ll never be
And the reason they won’t
is because of me

I dream,
then stand in my own way
Counterproductive,
you could say

But I’m done denying
and ready to give
because I know
dreams deserve to live
