Here's to the Realists
Here’s to the realists
who see the world
as a blue and green planet,
spinning slowly on it’s axis.
Here’s to the pessimists
who see the world
as red and orange fires from Hell,
abounding to the crust.
Here’s to the optimists
who see the world
as a mirror that shows no scar,
one that can’t be broken.
Here’s to the ones
without a thing to live for,
with nothing for which to die.
Here’s to the ones
without a single candle of hope,
with darkness as a best friend.
Here’s to the ones
Without feet that can touch the ground,
with wings of wax too close to the sun.
