This Freedom is Mine

I run,
forever it seems
the wind rushes
like right before the storm
it's power overwhelms me
I am with it
It's power is mine
I run
faster, faster
My bare feet pound against the grass
My heart pounds with them
faster, faster
not just from the exertion,
but from the excitement as well
this is where I belong
free
like a bird
I stretch out my wings
ready to fly
I lift my arms
and jump
I'm soaring now
faster, faster
moving with the wind itself
I can't stop
I won't stop
ever
this
freedom
is mine
forever
