Mom. The cats are fighting again

Its three am and the howling of a distant battle wakes me. I sit up and rub my eyes. As I come back to this world I realized the battle I in the room with me. Growling and screaming, they argue over food and water. I turn on the lights as they tumble again. Clumps of fur float around as their screams echo through the halls of my quiet house. Behind me, my moms door creaks open. I turn, half asleep. "Mom, the cats are fighting again."
