Failed Love

Always remember the
best times we shared.
Can’t you forgive?
Didn’t you love the aura I aired?

Either way, you shouldn’t
fret over what could have been.
Give me your opinion,
honestly…

I will never forgive myself. I’ll
just beat myself up, so it will
kill me slowly, painfully;
let me take the pill.

More or less, I’ve had it all.
Not in the sense you would expect,
or even the way I expected.
Prudently, your decision I will respect.

Question me, ask me why,
rightly, I will accept your inquiries.
Surely, I have found the answer to life.
True enough, but it’s found in your diaries.

Unfortunately, you’ll be furious.
Very justly so.
Why I did these things--
x-ray the life out of me, and you’ll never know.

You are the only one I’ll ever love so much.
Zombified will you find me, if I don’t leave this place in your clutch.

This is an ABC poem, and it rhymes. I think for an ABC poem, it's pretty good.
