By the time it happened
It was all over.
I could feel the blood in my face
Gone, from being scared.

I just stood there
My feet planted to the ground.
I was frozen,
Frozen in shock of what I just saw.

Death...
Had stared me in the face
But I didn't look back...

What inspired this piece is, I've had death stare straight at me in the face but that was it, I never looked at it as death but as the life that could be.
