Pain of Love

The pain is at stake.
Each and every single day.
My heart awaits,
But it seems so unreal.
The chances I take,
Never seem to make me heal.
I've got these feelings,
That I've never dealt with before.
I toss each one up,
Juggling them one by one.
And unless the pain eases,
I don't think I can take this no more.
Every time that love sets in,
All I've got in the end is pain.
And my heart aches more,
The more it breaks.
My true love slipped away,
And now I'm just left without him.
So now I live each day,
With the lingering pain,
buried deep inside my chest.

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this piece out of my own feelings and emotions. I had recently lost a loved one who I felt was my true love. This poem describes the feelings I have had from that.

I hope that people will feel connected to this poem and that they will really feel the emotion that comes along with it.

This was an amazing poem and I did feel some personal attatchments to it myself. Very sad, about your friend, he's in a better place now though. God bless you, and I hope you're doing well. <3
