What is life?
The real purpose.
Is it to establish something for my
Afterlife?
Or am I already being judged
and just
reliving memories?
Is this my second chance to
redeem my ways?
Or reliving my so called
Glory days?
Whatever it is,
I’ll question it no more.
For I know I have far too much in store.
And if I knew the answers to
These questions,
There’d be no reason to live
Anymore.

The author's comments:
Diamond is questioning the purpose of life. She uses diction and lines breaks to convey emotion.
She also uses questioning to make the reader think. The singular words she uses are to add emphasis. To draw attention, she capitalizes some uses and uses lower case letters on others. The pace is intended to be slowed in order to really take in the words. This is for the reader to understand the message. Diamond also uses one continuous stanza to tell a story.
