The hidden one
Just as a shadow, no one notices me. Never realizing that I am there.
But I am, Just as a shadow. People always passing by, rushing,
talking, all in a blur, too busy to notice.
Just as a shadow, I wish to be seen. Always dancing and dashing
Across by you, but never once have I heard, a hello from you.
Wanting you to notice, to realize that yes, I am here, right with you.
Just as a window, no one looks at me. No one wants to see me, but
Always the picture that beams through behind. I am right here
In front of you, smiling, hoping you will notice. But you don’t.
You just look right through me. Just as a window.
Just as a fly, no one hears me. No one seems to care to hear
What I have to say. I scream as loud as I can, but no one hears me.
Just as a fly buzzing in the back of the room. I am not heard.
No one notices me.
Why don’t they see? I am here. Aren’t I? yes I am.
But unlike them, I am hidden. Hidden from their eyes.
Everyone else goes on with life, being seen. But I am stuck here
As the hidden one.
