Spooky Night

Through the trees the wind did howl,

It sang through leaves, it sure did yowl,

And the moon lit up, oh just right,

It sure lit up this perfect night.
Spiders will dance, they will strut,

Down our crevices and ruts,

Pumpkins will smile,

Their jagged lips stretched for a mile.
And the headless man’s horse will jeer,

Such an unholy and frightful cheer,

And bats will join along,

Join in their sonic song.
Let the night terrors come,

Let them nip at heels and swat at bums,

Its their night, their show,

Up up and away, here we GO!
Hope it’s good,

It’s a big deal in our neighborhood,

But wait! There’s more,

Plenty more surprises in store.
Tighten your grip,

Don’t let you shirt rip,

Its time for our story,

To turn a tad more gory.
And on our night,

Nearly limitless frights,

For now goblins are out,

Ghosts all about!
And the werewolf man,

Oh he’s why you ran,

Accompanied by his created friend,

Electrodes are now a trend?
Screaming at that,

Why it’s just a rat!

But this concludes my spooky night tale,

I’ve got blood to suck and coffins to unveil.
