My mom is the most special person to me

She woke me up today with candles on my pancakes

I can’t believe I have to go to school today

My mom gives me a kiss and takes me

I like my mom alright but she’s changed

She shoved my covers off of me and told me to make breakfast

I can’t wait to get to school today

My mom shoves me out the door

Bye was the only word she said to me that day

She is dead to me and the world around her

I woke up to the shrill of the alarm clock

I have to work all day today to pay for college
