Even though a clock doesn't work, people still look at it for time.

I have seen death take someone’s life.
I have seen a woman lose her child.
I have seen a man’s world come crashing down.
I have seen too many hearts get broken.
I have seen racism take hold of a man’s life.
I have seen war in a child’s heart.
I have seen a fiery rain beat down upon a woman.
I have seen a bird, flying ever so gently, be shot down.
I have seen a truck crash into a building.
Everything has a downside.

It’s time to focus on the good of all things.
I want to see flowers dance in the wind in the spring.
I want to see the world as a whole.
I want to see colors come together and dance in the sky.

I want to see a child being born.
I want to see the sun laugh onto the earth.
I want to float parallel to the ground.
I want to jump higher than the sky,
I want to smell the wonderful thing that is called fresh air.
I want to touch a cloud,

I want to dance as if there will be no tomorrow.
I want to feel the flow of water on my skin
while the sun is lightly holding me.

I want to reach out,
And hold love,
Hold it and pass it on like the air we breathe.
I want to celebrate life,
Not mourn it.
I want to celebrate every beautiful waking moment I have.
I want to get happiness,
And joyful feelings when I see loved ones.
I want to touch a rose pedal wet from morning dew.
I want to see the world at its best.

A few years ago my teacher asked for an assignment but I slightly changed it to make this poem. This poem is a remake of the original one.
