Favorite Quote:
Be a Cardinal in a flock of crows- Me

The land of the united,

The home of the free, what does that all mean to me?
Truly it’s all lies to me.

Are we united, are we truly free?
We hate what we don’t know,
And fear what we do.
Free? How about fear.
Both 4 letter words that are often used in place of each other.
Harsh words are spoken to those of our own species.
We fight wars over land, oil, and religion,
Killing our brothers, our sisters,
Over things that should be shared.
Equality? How about bigotry?
We hate on people of different skin colors, nationality, and religion.
Just because they’re not like you doesn’t make them any less human.
If someone loves their own gender, why tell them their wrong?
Intolerance is not freedom.
Intolerance breeds pain, war, tension.
Freedom of the press, pledged with propaganda,
The right of a voice,
Drowned out by the silence of society.
The White dove blackened, scared to land.
Judgment clouding the thoughts,
The flame of Liberty, dimming with every war,
Until nothing but embers burn,
Liberty becoming lost in translation, a meaning no longer known.
Who is lady liberty?
The hate and evil will destroy her, and our grandchildren will never know her.
We are not free. We are enslaving ourselves.
Our hate binds our hands behind our back and blindfolds us to the truth.
To become free we must open our eyes and break the binds and allow the truth to reach our ears!
Once we hear the truth, the hate and bigotry must leave this world,
A war never fought again.
Once we do this,
We will have true Freedom.

I wrote "Freedom" because when I look at the world around me, I see people who claim to be free, but the evil that spews from their mouths tells me other wise. Until we are all treated equal, we will never have freedom.
