What does
The wilting flower
Proclaim to the tall oak tree?
"I’ve come across the idea
Of maybe me just being me."
But the shadows are hidden
Under the cloak of the sun,
As the fortress I’ve built
Crumbles to dust
You tore it apart;
The walls of my heart
That used to protect
This thin skin,
And you made me fall
And sink to my knees
And beg for the forgiveness of sins.
So what does
The wilting flower
Proclaim to the tall oak tree?
“You make me love the idea
Of me just being me."
