If you look into a book, what can you see?
If you open your mind, it will be beyond your wildest dreams.
Now don’t be shy, come along with me.

Just imagine the possibilities:
Nothing will ever be what it seems.
If you look into a book, what can you see?

The problem with our kids? To them a tree is a tree.
Their brains? Standard issue, not a single one gleams.
Now don’t be shy, come along with me.

They don’t have time for sun and fun, and this is key.
To them a rock is a rock, and a stream is a stream.
If you look into a book, what can you see?

A boy or a girl, to them the sea is the sea.
None of them knows better, so they just smile and beam.
Now don’t be shy, come along with me.

Everything their heads are fed, it’s all a load of- ...pea.
We must fix this; work together as a team.
If you look into a book, what can you see?
Now don’t be shy, come along with me.

The author's comments:
My brother is autistic. And honestly, if half the children of the world had his level of creativity? Well, one can only guess, of course. But I think it would be better for all.
