The Best

September 13, 2013
They see the girl with the crooked smile.
But they don’t know the problem.
She has breakdowns and panic attacks.
She’s the best at dealing with it.

She’s sixteen years old, going through court,
because of the man who broke her heart.
He took away her innocence,
but shes still the best at dealing with it.

No violence, just frozen she lays,
minds in shock, doesn’t know what to do.
She wants to scream, but that she can’t.
However, she’s still the best.

She was home, crying, that next night.
Figuring out what happened to her.
Asking her friends to help her.
So, she’s still the best at dealing with it.

Now going through court, she’s healing.
Her heart races faster than a train.
He’s going to jail, soon she knows.
I’m the best at dealing with a chaotic life.

You're beautiful and strong in more ways than one. My assault happened the summer before 9th grade and it took me three years to even say anything about it. Go you for going to court. That battle is beyond what people can imagine going through. Sending my love, this is powerful.
