Hollow mirrors
Encircle us all
If the glass shattered
What would we find?
Piles of boxes
But nothing to keep in them
My search for content
Discovers I’m empty inside
When will our hearts
Long for more
Than a skinny waist
And a pretty face?
Because my biggest fear
Is that eventually
You’ll see me
The way I see myself.
Hollow mirrors
Encircle us all
If the glass shattered
What would we find?
Nothing.
