Me and the World

I'm the kind of person,
Who likes to stop and think,
About where the world is going
And if it may be on the brink
Of something incredible
Or an incredible mistake
How can I make a difference?
Surely I don't count.
I'm only one person.
To what could I amount?
This place is much too big for me.
There's no big change I could make.
But then again could I be wrong?
I think I always have to try,
Because of course no one ever knows
I very well could be the guy
To change the entire world.
As long as the world doesn't change me first.
