Girl in a Box

There’s a girl in a box
I don’t know what to do
The sides are all thick
The glass is painted blue
She screams and yells
“Please let me out!”
But I cannot do anything to save her
Except sit and listen to her cry
Yet every time I listen
The sides start to glisten
She doesn’t notice
But I definitely do
I can’t wait until
She’s out of this box
Because I never will
