As I lay here under the stars
And a cool breeze plays with my hair
I hear a whisper in the wind
Calling my name

A call coming from the stars
So peacefully as they soar
Without any pressures holding them down
To not reach their dreams

A call telling me it’s my time
To finally do as I please
To find who I really am
Without anyone’s judgment

And with that journey known
I can reach into the sky
And I drift off to my own night
As my eyes close to sleep

Thank you so much! I've learned that the best time that I can be inspirational with writing is at 3 in the morning... Not ideal if I say so myself.

Thank you so much! It's been a really long time since I have written anything last. Glad you like it!

Really beautiful poem! Like it was said before me, the personification in your poem is beautiful. My favorite line is "so peacefully as they soar" because you never hear soaring describing stars. Sure, twinkling and bright, but soaring makes you feel like they're in the sky for a PURPOSE. Beautiful. :)
