'beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they will be dead by midnight' Og Mandino

The hush after the storm
Mending a broken wing
Being caught in a butterfly swarm
Snow in the spring

Sharing a smile with a stranger
The glow of giving
Accepting the failure
The difficulty of forgiving

The sun through the trees
Leaping over fences
Returning a hand squeeze
Ignoring the consequences

A baby’s innocent eyes
Becoming an inspiration
Soothing your father’s cries
Opening your imagination

Forget the war and suffering
Forgive all those who wrong
Why not just try living
Because we don’t have very long

It’s not the awards or trophies
That you should try reliving
But its precious moments like these
That make your life worth living

I completely agree with you. There's no reason to dwell on what happened and what could've happened and what if. What will happen is what should concern us. And dwell on the happy moments. Not those sad moments. Great poem.
