A Life

There's a sound calling out to me
A sound in my head
Telling me to wake up and live instead
It told me to get over a fight
That the bruise will heal
It convinced me to move on
To a life I didn't steal
It didn't have to be expensive
It should be more than just poor
It told me to move on
And to live some more
I shake my head
And answer in regret
It calls back to me
Tells me, he won't neglect
He grasps my hand firmly
And pulls me on
To a life worth living
A life of moving on
