Today when you came home you were
too tired to notice you were still wearing your name tag on your t-shirt from work. When Dad teased you about it, you smiled and replied:
“I remembered who I was today.”
and I was so jealous of the way your tongue could unclip those worlds like that name tag at the end of a long day
Like they were nothing
One month
and four days later
I wonder
If you unclipped those words like a name tag because they too
were meant for someone else to read
