"Poetry surrounds us everywhere, but putting it on paper is, alas, not so easy as looking at it." -Vincent Van Gogh

Things he took with him:
His collectable X-men T-shirts
Twelve Band-aids
Eleven hard-cover books
Two paperbacks
A wool cap
Seven pairs of jeans
His postcard of "Starry Night"
A foggy pair of glasses
His phone
Twenty-eight dollars and nine cents
A box of gummy worms
Seven pairs of boxer shorts

Things he left behind:
A frozen city
An extra apartment key
An un-finished cup of coffee
His bills
The frothy frigid air of New York.
