You Grow Prettier Everyday

Some bloom in the spring of their life
A pretty flower that everyone wants to admire
But they fade fast
Petals sagging to later fall to the ground
Then there are trees
Who start as small green saplings, trampled underfoot
But the ones that search for the sun will grow with time
Getting stronger everyday
The flowers everyone once loved will be forgotten
For the shade and comfort the trees offer
Do not cry little sapling
Because you do not provide a fragrance
Your beauty will grow throughout your life
Instead of burning out in time
