Favorite Quote:
"Everything's really going to be okay?" She asked. And the universe nodded."

Maybe it’s not such a terrible thing
Loving you
At first I thought I knew
What you were thinking
What you were going to do
But then you kissed me
And boy was I surprised
When your tongue lit my bottom lip
On fire and your lips
Exploded against mine like
Fire works
I imagine losing you would be the same
Except your tongue
Becomes our fist
And your lips
Become your words
Leaving burns and bruises
On ever part of my heart
Maybe it’s not such a terrible thing
Loving you
But losing you
Now that’d be hell

The author's comments:
I fell in love for the first time with my best friend. It was the most wonderful and terrifying thing I have ever experienced. We ended up breaking up but we stayed friends. A year later we were talking about the first time that we ever kissed and we both agreed it felt like fire works. Cliche, but so true. I wrote this poem later that night. Even if we're not in a relationship, I could never lose him as my friend. It would hurt too much.
