People are like stained - glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.

I
Have always
Let you say
What you pleased
About me
Never will admit I
AM
Burning up inside
Because of you
You layered
Me in paper-silk
That shone on nights
When I walked
ALONE
When you tattooed
Out your heart’s desire
On my skin
To encage me in the
Life you set
IN
Stone
You never stopped
To think what might have happened
Had you torn away
My flesh-and-bone façade
Tried to find the inside me
Instead, you made me hate
MY OWN MIND

I really like this poem. Your emotions are raw and genuine. Your wording intertwines perfectly with the emotion. For me the capitalization of some of the words didn't really work. But that's what I think. Nonetheless, beautiful imagery. Just an all around great poem.
