Love In A Log Cabin
A log cabin,
Waits at the end of the wood,
For you and me.
The wooden walls,
Retain the little heat our bodies emit.
I tremble,
Simply from the chilling season.
But there you are,
To warm me all the way to the core.
Not even a peep,
Echoes through the silent interior.
But the careless whisper of “I love you”,
From your deep voice,
Is set on a full volume repeat,
Inside my head.
The cozy aura,
From the isolated setting,
It matches your grip,
As you lock me up,
Tightly in your arms.
I sense nothing but ecstasy.
Although the taste of the logs
May not be heavenly,
Your lips make up for it,
With every gentle kiss,
Upon my skin of mistakes.
I guess it really isn’t the log cabin,
That I desire every night for.
All I truly need,
Is you.
