Glutton

A glutton I am,
drifting upwards vainly, up
against this pale blue tarp,
seeking the iridescent
pearls and sapphires that wait
through the tumultuous storms
bolts of luscious silk that wink, with hints of
blue and pink,
waves that crash during a
storm, toppling like dominoes,
one over the other.
I am seeking to capture them in a
glass jar, so that I can forever
bestow my gaze upon their blinking
glimmer.
