How can one burn the intangible, tangled memories of a broken mind?
Real or not real. Imagined or painful.
Every moment lay in the corners of your eyes
Every innocent moment of pure bliss
Drenched in the salty lake forming at your knees
Perhaps if you looked in the mirror, you'd see the horror you've created
The hopes you've mounted so high, that fear never crossed your mind
You held your breath and leaped
You fell, you fell, you fell
You fell for the white hinges
That creaked ever so slightly
At the weight it bared alone
You fell for the dull brass
Once before, once again, once too many
You fell to your hands
Limp, soft, and weak
