My Thoughts behind Bars

Holding my thoughts behind bars,
They reach for the keys,
Hungry for freedom,
Fear taunting the words in my mouth.

I desperately wish to tell,
Searching for the one who understands,
Fear telling me no cares,
I annoy them with your voice.

Truth slaps me in the face,
When they interrupt me,
Making sure I can’t make a sound.

Just get comfy,
My thoughts will never see the light of understanding.
