Favorite Quote:
“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”
― William W. Purkey

Atlas shrugged
my world shook
I fell down into the streets

Picking up
I dusted off
my fragile broken self

Atlas shrugged
I braced myself
'gainst a pillar of stone

I did not fall
to bloody knees
instead I clung to stone

Now Atlas shrugs
My world shakes
but I do not fall

Instead I walk
head held high
through this crumbling world

This piece was inspired by the phrase "Atlas shrugged." I don't even remember where I heard it for the first time, but it's been bonking around my head and now I have finally gotten the poem onto paper!
