somewhere within the ashes
of the last failure, there is always
a beginning.

the dust only ever clears
to reveal empty space
waiting to be filled again
waiting for a fresh
start.

and somewhere in the depths of
all of my insecurity, I have
enough strength to begin again
enough conviction to hurl myself
back into the tumult
back into the abyss

knowing that if I drop
there will be nothing but emptiness
and yet another
genesis

that awaits me
