tommorows a mystery, yesterdays history, but today is a gift, that's why we call it the present.

I wondered
If I could get lost on that golden beach
If I could get lost in those waves
In the curve of a shell
And I thought
This-
This is happiness
And new I would never feel that much bliss again

And I thought
Would it be worth it?
To live with the downfall of that bliss
To never feel the suns kiss
Or listen to waves that mirror the mocking in my mirror
Worth it to never see the same shade of blue again?
Would it be worth it?

And I stopped
Because that's what the fish do
They move on
And forget
Because if I could forget that bliss
I could forget the loss of it
And forego the empty beaches and faded sand
And broken shells
So I stopped

And the waves stopped
The sand hushed against itself
And the shell held its breath

And life was a line

And I realized
I wanted to see that golden beach
Even if just for awhile
To be tossed back to the current then would be fine
Because a still lake is arid
And I wanted some waves
Even if I had to take the tsunamis with it
