"Remember to trust others, it will one day be your saving grace."

I stood at the shore and looked
At the calm waves racing to the land
The beauty of the ocean staring back at me
And I never could quite understand

How I stood at such a terrifying place

So I stuck my feet into the water
The velvety soft sand at my feet
And I involuntarily started to walk farther
Not knowing the trouble I would meet

Mindlessly I wandered deeper
Being engulfed with water more
Never seeing reality- I was drifting
And could no longer see the shore

This piece somewhat expresses how I feel about life. How we can be a great place spiritually and we start to "stick our feet" into worldly pleasure. And after that, it's mindless. You start to drift.

I like the idea behind this poem. I feel like it could've used a stronger ending, but overall it was a pleasant poem :D
