All I can think
Hearts thudding.
Girls giggling.
Boys blushing.
A so-called romance starting.
She likes him and he likes her.
Mushy gushy words that are whispered during class.
Girls twirling and twisting the hair with their fingers.
Boys flirting with the girls that make their stomachs flippety-flop.
They sit together at lunch giving each other sappy looks.
Holding hands as if doing so will keep them together…forever.
The way too cheery girls cheering on the boys in gym.
The boys doing their best to stay cool while asking their crushes to the dance.
Mindless beings at the moment.
Lost in what they think is love.
Feelings that contain way too much;
Nervousness, giddiness, happiness…foolishness.
They believe in love at first sight,
but I believe that it’s just hormones taking over.
Girls being extra careful with how they look?
Boys asking their older brothers how to slow-dance.
All I can say is eww.
