I honorably plunge my divine spoon into the frozen yogurt
I instantly receive heavenly bliss that dances majestically across my taste buds
My frozen yogurt starts a wild parade of tart in my mouth
I fantasize that this swirly goodness would never end
As I submerge my spoon once again,
I gracefully feast upon, my frozen yogurt
I feel as though my tongue has been liberated by the splendid icy goddess
This dairy deity instantly starts a lively fiesta

The boatload of sugar in ice cream can not compare
no tang —
no celebration —
just a fatty obsession that is clearly unhealthy

But this pearly jewel,
That naturally

coils

a
whirlpool
of
delicious

tang
Is what true scrumptious dessert is
With the toppings of rich chocolate, sweet strawberries, and tasty Oreos
How could I ever resist?

But suddenly,
I tragically look down,
The ivory, non-fat yogurt— it’s all gone

I wish there was a vast sea or a giant ocean
of luscious frozen yogurt
I would eagerly
dip,
dive,
and cherish it.
My frozen yogurt.

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this poem because of my obsession with frozen yogurt. Ever since my first cup of Pinkberry, I knew I had found my one true dessert soul mate. I hope my readers see that the little things in life are what makes living so sweet!
