Broken and Imperfect

tongue-tied
wrap hands
around a pillow
and scream there
where you can
because everything’s
strangled and beat-up
don’t know why
tongues tie
themselves in knots
like jigsaw puzzles
uncompleted
in clutters of seeing
things that ought
not be seen;
So God don’t videotape
us because rocks were made
like humans
in your eyes
broken
under pressure.
