We dream of freedom
Many have tried to make it work,
Their dream of freedom
Reaching out
To their dream of freedom
By train or by wings
Freedom from the horrors of life
Freedom from the concrete of abstract whip
Lashes are hard to tolerate
A slave of your own mind
The crack of the whip in your subconscious
Freedom from those who torment
The pure joy in their eyes
To see you writhe and struggle up the ladder
Only so you can be pulled down again
Most would find wings
And fly to the seventh
Finding the train is hard work
Whereas flight is elegant
I dream of freedom
