The sun beating down from the clear sky
Skin getting darker
Days get longer and the best of all
It’s not even half over

School has just ended and camp begins,
Times to spend with family and friends
Long summer nights never wanting to end

You hear the splash of the children jump into the pool
After long days of no rest trying to
find a place to stay cool
Going to the beach with friends is always the best
Beach air and sand in my hair always reminds me of summer

Tanning all day will soon fade
Though the memories will last forever
Taking a moment to look up at the clouds and just dream
And only wishing for the best summer ever


Skin gets darker from the beating sun
The music gets a whole lot louder
And life gets better


The Barbeque fire goes out and
When the sun goes down the fun is over
And we know that schools just around the corner
