His legacy represents the “passing of the torch” to the new generation from the old generation
His death represents how “greatness” was cut short
From the start he was groomed to become our leader
His youth was appealing and his intelligence necessary
He was silenced before he could finish his purpose
He left behind wife & kids, brothers and sisters, parents
He left behind a nation we anticipated the relief he would offer
His father an ambassador, his brothers senators, he was born Mr. President
He represented the American dream
He represented the intelligent youth, the new life
Today he is known by three little letters but there significance is more vast than one can imagine
Teachers tell of him in classrooms
His face appears on the pages of history textbooks
Many never experienced how life was with him
But many can never forget how life was with him
