Spring Wind

It’s 10:30 pm;
The sun may have set,
But our day is far from over.
We run like the wind,
Chilled spring air causing
Tears to form in our eyes.
I tilt my head to the sky,
Even the street lamps
And car headlights can’t
Dim the glowing stars.
I send every emotion upwards;
I feel free and wispy,
Even if it’s only for
One stolen moment.
