10:41 PM,
I'm far from the end,
Dry mouth, sore throat,
Eyes hurt,
Bruised nose,
So tired,
Stay awake.
Do something more,
Make no mistakes,
Fight to the end,
Be your own friend,
Dull thoughts,
Mind crossed,
Brain's starting to bend.
Go to bed,
Feeling dead,
Try again tomorrow,
Improve upon yesterday,
Eliminate your
Perpetual
Sorrow.

The author's comments:
Written 2/17/12. Often in the evenings during basketball season of my junior year, I would feel overwhelmed and unaccomplished. I would end up staying up later than I wanted to, and I really wore myself out. I was sick, and injured, and falling behind in school. Things can really all bear down on you at the end of the day.
