Favorite Quote:
"I remain in you and you remain in me"

at midnight, blue centuries have passed since
last we touched.
with shoulders chilled,
my skin is crying
to be washed by a tidal wave
of your saltwater love.

and my ears ring with silence,
craving your piano music playing
on the shore of our lives,
singing,
stay young with me,
stay forever with me.

your promises are sweet
and fleeting,
sky-blue and
thin, but
pure.

you mean to be inside,
but you end up
on the outskirts of
everybody’s lives.

I speak to you in the dead of night,
but you don’t offer any thoughts in return.
you are in a slumber,
in a haze,
on the face
of the moon.
your body slumbers on the moon....

The author's comments:
This poem is inspired by the torturous feeling of longing and missing someone special. I hope people can relate to the words; they describe feelings universal to all loving relationships. The poem also touches on a few areas of a relationship which are perhaps imperfect (his promises which may not be kept), and his good intentions which don't always turn out well.
