When the world fades to black,
the broken souls will know its a trap.
The world was a cruel place,
not many will be saved by grace.
Children will know a world of pain,
when grownups use them for gain.
The world is a fading flower,
and will be gone within the hour.
The hopeful souls will die
along with the ones that cry.
Show the ones that survived a better place,
although they weren't saved by grace.
They were the children with the world of pain.
They escaped and grew without living in shame.
The strong children here they stand,
with scars upon their hands
they kept it all inside,
while everyone else cried.
While everyone else died.
The broken kids with the world of pain,
survived and live to hurt another day.
