the words are said in whispers
slow
steady
to say hello to music
then
BANGBANGBANG
drums pulse out
their beat carries agony
lament
despair
with nothing left to lose
strings pierce the air
a slide that leads to a lullaby
a bramble
a trap
with no escape
amidst the wreck
sounds a weak bell
soft
alone
and the world ends
